Half munched wrap ... sorry! Was too delicious and forgot to take a pic of the finished (and uneaten) wrap ....

This is ‘Dinner for One’. I fancied playing around with a food wrap and literally looked around my kitchen and fridge what I could use.

I tend to have a variety of home sprouted seeds, as a staple alfalfa and mungbean seeds sprouted. I love them, they are so cheap and easy to grow and there is always something fresh and nutritions in the kitchen.

Well, I decided to take pictures, stage by stage of my creation, but in the end I forgot to take a picture of the end result. Got carried away and started munching. I noticed it half way through my delicious wrap.

Here I combined a tortilla wrap (they have no yeast) and some flakes of smoked salmon with a mountain of raw veggies. It was incredibly yummy!

The easiest way was to just take pictures as I assembled it. I totally forgot to add water cress, but it was delicious without it.

First I added fresh spinach leaves

then raw chopped up curly kale. Cut out the woody stems and rub the leaves with some olive oil, it makes them nice and smooth. Drizzle some freshly squeezed lemon juice over, plus, if you like some salt. Please make sure it is good quality sea salt or Himalayan salt*

next, I added some home sprouted alfalfa and mung beans

add slices of avocado, red bell pepper and scatter some crunchy seeds over it (I used Pumpkin seeds)

layer some home made hummus on it

and finally your salmon … or chicken meat, or …..

* Himalayan crystal salt can be consumed as a mineral water by dissolving in water, dissolved in a hot bath for a healthy soak and detox, or it can be put it on your food or in cooking, instead of the standard table salt. All of these things help to maintain the bodies natural balance. Table salt however is primarily sodium chloride with additives and consumed in excess which is very easy to do with today’s lifestyle, when used in excess is detrimental to health and generally not recommended by doctors to be added to food, as most foods contain enough salt. Himalayan crystal salt is suitable for those who require a low sodium diet or those who want to enhance their health with a healthier alternative rich in minerals. Himalayan salt and water (sole) will help detox the body and balance the bodies pH.
